  Invasion of the External

The word within a word, unable to speak a word,
Swaddled with darkness. In the juvescence of the year
Came Christ the tiger.

~T.S. Eliot
"Gerontion"

Penetration: In which light invades darkness through openness. We build our structures around us, returning to the womb where darkness and warmth dominate. But a tiny crack or a wide open doorway is an invitation to the external. Light penetrates, engaging our vulnerability, illuminating the definable forms within and initiating a transformation.
